Overcomers Ministry has been changing lives since 1988 when the late Rev. Gordon Thayer and his wife Rev. Sheila felt the calling to reach Indigenous people. In 1993 both Gordon and Sheila were ordained through International Ministerial Fellowship (IMF).

Mission Statment

The mission of Overcomers Ministry is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native people of the United States and Canada while building trust with the communities they serve.

Ministry Objective:

Overcomers ministry objectives are on the promotion on Indigenous leadership evangelism to their communities, discipleship that focuses on building lasting relationships offering Bible training, and offering reconciliation and restoration to the individuals and their families who have been hurt in the past, present and future through forgiveness and historical healing. We work with the youth and the children to see a brighter future.

Christian-based addiction recovery, sessions are providedand training and equipping Christian Indigenous leaders to promote healthy communities.

Ministry Verse:

“He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”

Ordination:

Rev. Sheila and Rev. Gordon have been ordained through the International Ministerial Fellowship since 1993.
